I used to work at Summit Academy… what always surprised the teachers was the attendance data scrubbing by the administrators. Even though a student missed several days, when the report cards were prepared by the teacher the administrators scrubbed the information citing that since the student returned and supposedly completed the assignments they were then not to be counted as absent! Does this scenario sound all to familiar? This condition was reported to the Department of Education & the Attorney General’s office several times and to date, NOTHING!!!
